Serena and Cookie,

Your story made me cry. I have had dachshunds all my life and can not imagine anyone of them not being a forever companion. My first little girl came to me from an abusive home (I was 5 years old at the time) and she hid for three days until she realized that I would only love her and never hurt her. We were together 10 years until she passed away and in that time I saw a very sad little dog turn into a happy and loving angel who would always watch over me.
