Hi,

I need some assistance i have adopted a 7 year old female dachsund about 3 weeks ago.

When she is inside which is out of office hours and on weekens she is quiet and spends most of her time sleeping.

The last week she has been really destructive in the backyard, pulling out the fly screen and climbing through windows, scratching the back door pulling down fencing my partner put up to stop her from scratching the door. I have caught her in the act and yelled at her saying NO and she still does it

She has toys even ones with food in them, she cant figure out what to do with them and chews and food and water, nothing seems to occupy her. She used to live in boarding kennels permamntly with other dogs im not sure if she is lonely or what is going on?

What do you think I should do, i dont want to give her the satisfaction of being inside all day long when im not home
