Primary rescue activities are those animals who come by way of the local shelters. All animals are fully vetted and any health problems addressed before offering them for adoption.

Because I am dealing only with the one breed, I can help animals that the shelters would be forced to euthanize. Older dogs and those with extreme medical needs that would not normally even have a chance at the shelter are those that I have chosen to help. If you wish to help these types of animals by either adopting or fostering, please let me know.

This website exists to help the owners who do not have an immediately critical situation find a new home for their beloved pet. If you need to rehome your beloved pet, I strongly suggest making use of this resource. You know your pet best and are most likely to know what type of home your pet has the best chance of succeeding in. See the "How to list a dachshund" link in the navigation menu for more information on how to use this website.
