We are representatives of Dachshund Rescue of North America and are located in Southeastern Wisconsin.

We are dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of purebred dachshunds in the Wisconsin area, and also focus on special needs dachshunds, especially those suffering from IVDD. I'm happy to explain any questions you might have about the breed, rehabilitation, alternatives to surgery, aftercare, surrendering, and our thorough adoption process and screening of applicants.

If you are seeking to rehome your dachshund we're happy to assist you if you're trying to rehome him/herself yourself through the DRWP, it's a great resource! When/if you decide you need to utilize rescue's full resources please be patient, as finding an appropriate foster home does take time as there are many dachshunds in foster homes and not enough foster homes.
