Douja is a 10 year old sweetheart, she loves people! Douja was in a local shelter and got adopted to a little blind woman, she could no longer care for her, and rather than take her back to the shelter, another kind woman took her in. Douja did well in that home, but she constantly picked fights with the other female Dachshund. So rather than take Douja back to the shelter, rescue was called to help. Douja is wonderful with people, but can not be in a home with another female dog. She needs a home with only male dogs, and preferably a little male Dachshund. Or she would really like to be the only Princess in the house!

This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative and on preventative. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes.
