SPARKY is a sad and lonesome red standard whose history and age are a mystery, but he appears to be about 10 years old. He may have been mistreated in the past, and is skittish and fearful at first, but he warms up after a time. Sparky may not be considered by famlies with very young children. He needs to be considered by folks who are laid-back and have a fairly calm home environment. Patience is a big plus. And it would really be great if they've got experience with stubborn or fearful Dachsies.

Sparky is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, taking monthly heartworm preventative, and has recently had his teeth cleaned. He is house trained (and has pretty good manners), but will have to be coaxed to go out sometimes, especially if it is raining. He is basically obedient, but can be sorta’ stubborn at times ( typical Dachshund - he wants his own way - LOL!)
