The Sweetie Named Sasha...

In January of 2009, our little family was complete when we met Sasha, the almost 5 year old black and tan Piebald.
Sasha had been at a very loving foster home for over a year but due to personality clashes between her and her 'roommate' (a golden retriever) it was decided that Sasha needed a home with either a smaller dog or none at all. So after the difficult decision was made, Sasha was put on this website through a 3rd party dachshund 'relocater' out of Forest Ranch, California.
I came acrossed this website after doing a broad search of Dachshund rescue's in the Northern California area and Sasha happened to be at the top of this list. When I first saw her picture, I fell in love with those absolutely puppy dog hound eyes. I knew right away from all the other doxies on the site that Sasha was different. She has the most striking coloring that I'd ever seen on a Dachshund, and I've grown up with them my whole life. So shortly after discussing it with my fiancee we decided to fill out an application. Which in turn meant we had to call our land lord and get the 'ok' which of course we got! Before I knew it I had recieved a phone call saying, "when would you like to meet?" I of course said, as soon as possible!
The day finally came and it was a very long day of waiting, but when they finally arrived Sasha was immediately put in my arms, and the rest is history...
I have to thank Suzy and Ray for being so sweet, and honestly concerned for her well being. I consider Sasha and myself lucky because they want to visit and check on her whenever they're in the area. I'm sure Sasha really appreciates it, I know I do. I also want to thank Monti (my 3rd party relocater hehe..) I recently had the pleasure of meeting Monti at the Dachshund Day in the Park in Chico, CA and she was just as sweet as her emails and phone calls made her out to be!
If it werent for these three people I wouldnt have my precious Sasha, (aka, Wiggles)
Thank you,
Danielle and Justin

Hi Danielle, I just saw

Hi Danielle,
I just saw this. I think Sasha is the lucky one to have such a loving owner. I am so happy to hear how well she is doing.
Maybe we'll see you at the park on Sunday.
