JESSE came from a shelter in SC. Jesse is a very sweet sweet boy, really likes to play the lap potato. He will lay with you as long as you let him. He gets along well with female dogs but not all males. He is crate trained and doesn't mind going in a crate to eat and sleep when we are gone. He picks a spot when it's time for bed but would really like to be your bed pardner. He is housebroken but will need someone willing to show him how to let you know when he needs to go out. He might be shy at first but when he warms up he's wonderful. Please give Jesse the kind of home he deserves after being dumped at the shelter in SC with another dachshund and heartworm positive. He is clear of heartworms now and just waiting, waiting for his forever home.

We think he would do best with another female. He is fine being crated and has free roam of the house at night and does fine. We do have a doggie door and he does fine with that and we'd like him to go to a fenced in yard, no electric fence or leash walking.
