Ellie has a sad story to tell. She was surrendered to rescue after a new baby came into the family. She would growl at the baby. She found a wonderful home with a great young couple that were in college and she was very happy there. Two years later they graduated and decided to start a family so Ellie is back in rescue.
Ellie does have an attitude. She would do best as an only pet or with another submissive small dog. She can not be in a home with babies or toddlers. She is fine with older kids ( 8 and up). She is also very personable and loves her people. She does have two health issues. She has had back problems in the past so care needs to be taken. She has not had any problems for several years. She comes with two very nicely made ramps. She also has Superficial Punctate Keratitis in her eyes. It is a genetic condition. She does need eye drops twice daily. This condition is under control and she is doing very well. She is very good about gettting her drops.
Ellie is house trained and crate trained although she much prefers to be right with her people. She is very affectionate. She is spayed and current on all vaccines.
Ellie would really love to find a forever home this time.
