My name is Fella. I am a beautiful boy with very soft fur, and I love to have someone brush my back and belly for me with my special brush. I would be a wonderful companion for someone who has a lot of time and love to give, and has a lot of doggie experience. It would be best if I were the only doggie in the house. I had a very hard time before I came to DREAM, and that has made me a very special boy.

When I was 4 years old, my dad died. My mom didn't know what to do with me, so she put me in the garage. I guess she kinda forgot about me, because I was in there all alone for 4 years. It was dark in there and I didn't get much exercise, or any love. My only friends were my toys. When I came out, I didn't know how to act anymore and I was very scared. I bit my foster mom 8 times in the first 3 days, even though I really wanted to be able to love her. Since then my foster mom has been working a lot with me. She found a behaviorist who was able to teach her about how to help me. I have gotten much better. With an experienced and patient person, I can be a wonderful companion. I can be very possessive of my toys, since those were my only friends in the garage.

Now I am 10 years old and I am ready to start the life I never had. I still bite sometimes when I don't know what else to do, but I have so much love inside. I have a special brush that my foster mom uses for me, when I see it come out, I roll over on my back and cry. No one brushed me or touched me for so long. I just need the right home to let all the love come out. I am housetrained and crate trained. I would love a quiet home where I can live out my retirement. My adoption donation is $150. When I want my foster mom's attention, I go up to her, wag my tail, and put my front legs on her legs to get petted. I have really come a long way and I'm ready to go the rest of the way with you. My greatest joy is to sit next to someone or on a lap.
