Winslow's new home

We had our application in for a rescue Doxie for a short time in Michigan. On June 30, 2006, we got a call from Michelle that she had a beautiful 1 1/2 yr old black and tan male rescued from a shelter. He was very thin, weighing in at only 7# 3 oz. You could see his hip bones and spine sticking out. He also had no hair on his neck under his chin.

Well 5 months later, Winslow is doing wonderful!! He gets along great with our other 2 Doxies and with our 4 small grandchildren. He loves to sleep in the human bed and ride in the car.

I took him to the vet a week ago just to weigh him and he is up 10# 3 oz! And he finally is starting to grow that hair back. We keep food out most of the day and he eats a little bit each time he enters the kitchen. It's almost like he thinks he'll never eat again if he doesn't. He certainly doesn't have to ever worry about that now that he has a forever home. Thank you so much Michelle for thinking of us when you got Winslow! We love him dearly!!!!
