Keeping a Dachshund requires a financial commitment. Some of the costs involved include food, veterinary and dental care, fencing, crate, leash, collar, ID tags, bedding, nail clippers and grooming supplies. In addition to the initial cost of the crate etc., can you afford to spend at least $500 a year for food and routine medical care for your pet (this does not anticipate emergency care or grooming)?
